True Blue.

Blue and white will always be best friends. Combine it with some bamboo, shells, silver, plants a hint of black and animal print and wallah!

Paper Cut.

These art thingies look so cool and remind me of the tissue paper wedding bells and other holiday decorations we use to use. Image courtesy of Ferry Staverman.

These fans would be great for and outdoor wedding or shower.

This is one of the most clever things I have seen in a while. Electronics don't go with my decorating scheme, but this stack of books does. Why not hide the remote in the fab book? Clever. Image courtesy of Real Simple.

Matthew Mead is extremely creative and has teamed up with Country Living and puts out these great do-it-yourself crafts. Here is one of my favorites, the book sculpture. Last 3 images courtesy of Country Living.

Heavenly Baths.

Here is my stash of glorious baths. I hope you enjoy them as much as I have. Heidi

Sorry, I do not have the origin of this image. Please don't sue me. I will give you credit if I find out where it came from.

Again, I am sorry. Very unprofessional of me that I do not have the origin of this image. It comes from a very cherished pile of pages that have been torn out of my magazine collection. I just had to share it with my great friends so we could drool over it and dream that it is our own or perhaps will be.

Halloween.

I love how Halloween has become a more creative holiday. This is a holiday that I never was too fond of since I do not get a thrill out of being scared. However, I love seeing the clever new ways to decorate for it each year. Here are a few I have found and enjoy, I hope you do as well. Heidi.

Image courtesy of Hallmark Magazine. This Cinderella Pumpkin was made using old belt buckles, door plates and lamp parts. Clever.

Image via My Home Ideas. This image does resemble my house after I haven't dusted the cob webs for a while.

Another clever idea from someone that won't get the deserved credit because I did not record the origin of the image. Sorry.

HUGE!! BELLA FORTE GLASS ON OETA TV THURSDAY, OCTOBER 16TH, 8:00 PM CST

We are excited! This Thursday night (as of this writing on Oct. 13th, 2008) Bella Forte Glass is going to be featured on OETA. Randy and Susan were extremely nice - like bend over backward nice! - Like bend over backward "limbo" nice! Like, "We really liked them alot!" nice! It's supposed to show @ 8:00 pm C.S.T. on OETA TV on the show called, "Gallery". We haven't seen it yet but I know they really did a great job, I saw a tiny part while they were editing it in the studio. I don't know if it's gonna be on the front part of the show or the back part of the show. Can't wait to see it. *Everybody that watches the program and calls my cell phone gets a free blown glass platter! *(Not really just messin' with you) but you could call and tell me you saw it.

Chandelier Creativity.

Everyday I scour the net and magazines looking for something new and exciting. Well girls, I think I found something. When I flipped through my new Traditional Home magazine and found this Turquoise baby, I was intrigued. My mind was flooded with ideas of using all the other varieties of stones available, even beads for jewelry, oh my gosh, endless possibilities.
Enjoy, Heidi

Turquoise Empire Chandelier by Marjorie Skouras Designs.

I have loved this Abalone Chandelier from Anthropologie for a while now.

Saw this Spoondelier at an Antique show, thought it was brilliant.
Then I saw it on the Curious Sofa's blog. Then I saw it on Anthropologie's site. Clever.

Spoondelier is catching on and getting more sophisticated as in this design by Fabbian Lighting.

Zanfirico Canne work

Micah and I have been working on making zanfirico canne. This last Saturday was our 2nd try at it. Then we wanted to get enough to make a "lace" handkerchief bowl. Recently Marty Lockstone came by the restaurant, saw the glass and gave me a call. Marty is from Weatherford and we knew each other back in high school. He graduated a year before me at Weatherford. He wanted to know if he could come and watch us blow glass. He came over Saturday and was good help. He helped us pull canne and helped us with the zanfirico bowl. It's been nice to get reacquainted. Here's some photos of the canne, the bowl and of a vase we have been trying to pull off. It's blue, about 13 1/2" tall with a yellow coil around it.
